Translation: Heat-seeking instant death. ...You're screwed...

This spell is an upgraded form of Avada Kadavera. Yes, that Avada Kadavera. As if a spell that could slay instantly, without allowing a saving throw or spell resistance, bypassing any sort of magical ward, and completely ignoring any non-inborn immunity to death effects wasn't scary enough...

Once cast, this spell releases a single orb of magical green light that unerringly strikes the target (as magic missile) and slays it instantly without allowing any sort of saving throw, disregarding spell resistance, warding spells, and any death immunity that is not an intrinsic quality of the target itself (e.g. gained through creature type/race, special qualities, class abilities, feats, skill tricks, etc., but not spells, magic items, maneuvers, etc.). Any creature that attempts to magically ward the target from harm is slain in its stead (specifically, it takes backlash damage equal to 3× its maximum hp). The target can be protected from harm if an ally uses a readied action to intercept the spell and die in its place, which grants the creature so protected complete immunity to this spell and all "Avada Kadavera" variants cast by its killer until the creature that gave up its life is revived. (This goes double if the creature that sacrificed its life had an intimate relation with the target — in that case, if the killer is dumb enough to attempt to cast "Avada Kadavera" on the creature that was protected, the Avada Kadavera will bounce right back and kill its caster instead.)
