Steeped in magic from the King's Rock, a Poliwhirl can transform into the fully amphibious Politoed. When this occurs, the Politoed's body becomes green and opaque. Its belly becomes yellow, and likewise opaque. It grows individually identifiable toes, and a giant frog-like maw.
A Politoed usually has a curled frond sticking out of its head, resembling a pharaoh's crown. It has a similar symbol in green on its yellow belly. The Politoed has a definite set of lips, and a long sticky tongue.
Politoeds usually adopt a regal demeanor - generally feeling superior to all other creatures.
Combat[edit]
Watergun (Ex): A Politoed can fire water from its belly as a projectile weapon that inflicts 1d6 + Con modifier damage, has a range increment of 20', and a threat range of 20, and a x3 crit multiplier.
Bubble (Ex): A Politoed can inflict nonlethal damage instead of regular damage with its attacks at no penalty.
Perish Song (Su): A Politoed can sing a deathly strange lullaby that snuffs out all life. If the Politoed sings for 3 consecutive rounds, all living creatures within 90 ft. of the Politoed (who were also within 90 ft. of the Politoed when it began the song) must make a will save (DC is the Politoed's Perform (sing) check), or suffer enough damage to reduce it to -5 hit points immediately. Perish song is a Sonic, Necromantic effect, and the Politoed is not immune to its own perish song.
Spell-like Abilities (Sp): At will: control water, create water, magic circle against chaos/evil/good/law, mirror image, rage, emotion[1] as a Sorcerer of a level equal to its hit dice.
- The sample Politoed has a save DC of 13 + spell level.
Skills: A Politoed gains a +8 racial bonus to Jump checks and Swim checks.
