Poliwhirls resemble Poliwags, but their legs are more pronounced - allowing them to navigate on land quickly and easily. They also have arms, which have hands that are fully capable of using implements - but are mostly used for slapping.

Poliwhirls have no visible mouth, but are able to slide food directly into their body anywhere along the seam of their belly. A Poliwrath's eyes are similar to those of a frog and stick out from the top of its head. This allows a Poliwhirl to see everything that goes on above the water while remaining mostly submerged, where it is relatively safe.

Poliwhirls can survive indefinitely above water, but generally feel uncomfortable unless they are wet.

Combat[edit]

Watergun (Ex): A Poliwhirl can fire water from its mouth as a projectile weapon that inflicts 1d6 + Con modifier damage, has a range increment of 20', and a threat range of 20, and a x3 crit multiplier.

Bubble (Ex): A Poliwhirl can inflict nonlethal damage instead of regular damage with its attacks at no penalty.

Hypnosis (Su): A Poliwhirl's internal organs are strangely mesmerizing. This functions as a gaze attack with a range of 30 ft., except that the Poliwhirl need not have its eyes open for it to function. Those who view its organs must make a Will save (DC 10 + 1/2 HD + Charisma modifier) or fall asleep for 2d4 minutes.

The sample Poliwhirl has a DC of 14 for Hypnosis.

Skills: A Poliwhirl gains a +8 racial bonus to Jump checks and Swim checks, and is nearly invisible in water - giving it a +20 to Hide checks while submerged.
