After achieving some success with his scry trace, Aster decided to work more with divination sensors. The result was an easier way to achieve long distance messaging, whether to catch up with friends and teachers, taunt rivals, or collaborate over long distances. It required people to be on the same schedule though, and was often as not just a big technical headache.

You prepare an area of space with magic that will enhance a divination sensor that enters it to work in both directions. When a sensor appears in the area, it's caster is made aware of this enchantment. They may allow the enchantment to take effect on their sensor, at which point this spell is discharged. If they do not wish to allow the enhancement, the spell remains until a new sensor arrives and allows the enchantment or the duration expires.

An enhanced sensor is treated as a focus for the same divination that it was created for, and the focus of the divination is treated as a sensor for the same divination as the cast spell. The sensor enlarges itself to match the dimensions of the original focus, if appropriate. The enhanced sensor receives audio and visual information from the original focus of the same quality as it sends to the original focus, allowing two way audio or visual communication to occur based on the spell that originally created the sensor. As with other scrying spells and effects, any spell that targets you to improve your senses (as opposed to emanates from you) works normally through this connection.

This effect can be made permanent in an area by a caster of at least 9th level who expends 500 experience points. When made permanent, the area restores itself to await a new sensor as soon as an enhanced sensor within it expires or is dismissed. No more than one sensor may be enhanced at any given time.
