Daggerspell Mage[edit]

Shocking Grasp? More like Shocking Shank!
—Lileth, Gnome Daggerspell Mage

The daggerspell mage is a prestige class for slightly more combat oriented rogue/spellcaster character, it has the ability to imbue touch spell in daggers and fight proficiently with them. Overall they are good spellcaster with many abilities synergizing with blasting or touch spell, making them both really apt at damage dealing at give them access to some nasty debuff spells.

Class Features[edit]

All of the following are class features of the Daggerspell Mage.

Spellcasting: At each level, you gain new spells per day and an increase in caster level (and spells known, if applicable) as if you had also gained a level in a spellcasting class to which you belonged before adding the prestige class level. You do not, however, gain any other benefit a character of that class would have gained. If you had more than one arcane spellcasting class before becoming a daggerspell mage, you must decide to which class to add each level for the purpose of determining spells per day, caster level, and spells known.

Daggercast (Ex): A 1st level daggerspell mage grant the focus and spelltouch enhancement to any dagger she wield for free, as long as she hold it and 1 round thereafter.

Additionally she is allowed to use touch spell through thrown daggers.

Imbue Dagger (Su): At 2nd level, once per round as a free action an daggerspell mage gains the ability to place an area spell or spell-like ability upon a dagger. The imbued spell must have a casting time of a standard action or less, if it any higher the daggerspell mage must use the actual spell casting time instead of a free action to cast it. Then the dagger can either be thrown or planted in an surface within reach. If it is thrown the spell’s area is centered on where the dagger lands, even if the spell could normally be centered only on the caster. If it is planted, the daggerspell mage can release the spell with a simple command word within 1 minute, at which point the the spell’s area is centered on where the dagger was planted, even if the spell could normally be centered only on the caster. If the dagger isn't thrown or planted within 1 round, or the command word is not spoken within one minute the ability fail and the spell is wasted.

Sneak Attack (Ex): At 2nd level and every even level thereafter, the daggerspell mage gain sneak attack (as the rogue ability.

Runedagger Stance: As a swift action, a daggerspell mage of 3rd level or higher may take the runedagger stance. In the runedagger stance, after she cast a spell or spell-like ability with an [energy] descriptor through one of her dagger that dagger deal an extra +1d8 damage matching the energy descriptor of the spell for 1 minute per level of the spell. This extra damage is not cumulative after multiple casting, instead the dagger will take the energy type and damage of either the strongest or most recent spell cast (wielder's choice).

Two-Weapon Wall: A 3rd level daggerspell mage gain two-weapon wall feat as a bonus feat even if she does not meet the prerequisites, but only when fighting with two daggers.

Enchantment of the Dagger: At 4th level, the daggerspell mage learned the fine art of enchanting her blade, whenever she cast a spell or spell-like ability on her dagger (such as greater magic weapon) or a touch spell through her dagger either the duration double (but not the duration of any effect bestowed by the spell) or the number of uses (such as stun volt) double, or both if applicable. This stack with the extend spell metamagic feat.

Daggerspell Mastery (Su): At 5th level, the daggerspell mage mastered the art of daggercast. As a full-attack action she cast a touch spell or spell-like ability that take a standard action or less to initiate on both of her daggers and immediately deliver them. Alternatively as a full-attack action she may make a full attack with both her dagger and cast a single spell with a casting time of a standard action or less. She may cast the spell before, after or at any point during the full attack.
