Fortune Spinner[edit]

Lady Luck is always on time.
—Unknown

Fortune spinner are spellcasters who have the fundamental ability to tap into the power of fate and are capable of playing it like a puppet master. Their ability rarely involve raw manipulation of fate, but rather changing the odds of a particular outcome in individual events, like an attack hitting or missing or an object breaking or not.

Fortune spinners are called such because of their unique ability to 'spin the wheel of fate' allowing them to manipulate with great effectiveness the odds of a certain effect happening or not. Class Features[edit]

All of the following are class features of the Fortune Spinner.

The ability of these class can be added to either a spellcaster or manifester, for simplicity sake only the spellcasting terms will be used in the text below. If this class is used on a psionic character a spell-like ability become a psi-like ability, school become the appropriate discipline and so on.

Bonus Feat: At 1st level, 3rd level and each 3 level thereafter the fortune spinner gain one bonus feat she meet the prerequisite of. That bonus feat must either be a [luck] feat or a [metamagic] feat.

Extra Luck (Ex): At each odd level the fortune spinner gain an extra luck reroll.

Luck or Misfortune: At 1st level the fortune spinner choose either the luck or misfortune domain, the fortune spinner gain that domain's granted power and every spell from that domain is considered to be on your spell list for any spellcasting classes you happen to have. These spells are considered to be spells known at the level they appear in the chosen domain. These spells are cast (and prepared, if appropriate) as normal for your class.

At 4th level the fortune spinner gain the other domain.

If the fortune spinner is psionic it manifests these as spell like power of their appropriate level.

Spin the Wheel of Fate (Su): Fortune spinners have the ability to affect fate itself in their favor, more than just luck, in the form of 'spin'. She has a spin pool equal to her class level. She may as a free action outside her turn spend any number of unexpended spin to increase or decrease a d20 roll by 1 for each spin used. She recover all her expended spin with 10 minutes of uninterrupted meditation.

Easy Fortune (Ex): At 2nd level a fortune spinner gain one extra swift action (and immediate action) per round. However she may only use that action for activating [luck] feats.

Lucky Casting (Su): At 2nd level a fortune spinner may spend a single luck reroll as she is casting a spell, if she does so she do not provoke an attack of opportunity for casting and she add her class level as a bonus to bypassing spell resistance.

Resist Fate (Ex): At 3rd level a fortune spinner may spend a luck reroll as an immediate action to negate any effect that would modify one of her roll (like the unluck spell or another creature's luck feats).

Subtle Casting (Su): At 3rd level your spells or effects created by your spells do not register on divination magic (such as detect magic).

Fated Magic (Su): At 4th level you have particularly good luck on your magic. Whenever you cast a spell that has a variable, numeric effect, you can reroll one die out of every five (minimum one reroll).

Recover Luck (Su): At 5th level a fortune spinner is able to recover a single luck reroll by spending a prepared spell or spell slot of 3rd level or higher.

The fortune spinner may use this ability at will, however the minimum spell level she must spend increase by 1 (so 4th or higher for the second use, 5th for the third and etc).

Greater Lucky Casting (Su): At 8th level a fortune spinner may spend any number of extra luck reroll when she use her lucky casting ability, for each of those extra luck reroll spent she increase the caster level of that particular spell by 2.

Fate Houdini (Su): At 9th level a fortune spinner may spend 3 luck reroll as an immediate action to automatically succeed a saving throw as if she rolled a natural 20.

Fate Proof (Su): At 10th level a fortune spinner gain the ability to remove herself and others from the wheel of fate, for a time at least. By spending 1 luck reroll as an immediate action she may completely negating a single effect that target her or another creature within 100 feet of her, whether benign or malign as an immediate action. If the effect was an area of effect, she make a 10 feet radius per character level safe zone centered on her or the targeted creature within it instead of completely suppressing it. Each time she use this ability the luck reroll cost to use it double, the cost to use this ability reset to one 24 hours after she last used fate proof.
