Ivory Elves[edit]

When deeka crossbreed with elves, the resultant offspring are known as ivory elves. Due to "hybrid vigor" (an occurrence between two closely related species, where offspring are tougher than either parent species), these half-breeds possess some of the strengths of their parents as well as abilities all their own. Ivories are also slightly longer lived than their deeka parent race, but reach maturity faster and age quicker than their elven parent race.

Possible, but rare (and more likely the result of ritualistic transformation), are the galena, a half drow-deeka. Such creatures are without weakness to light or dark and persevere with determined malice.

Personality[edit]

Ivory elves combine a bit of elven aloofness with deekan fanaticism. Many ivory elves become bossy or workaholics who devote themselves to their pursuits. Others end up as eccentrics, paving their own way.

Physical Description[edit]

Ivory elves stand with nobility and grace, often well groomed and dressed, with smooth ivory skin, platinum-blonde hair and pale-hued eyes. They retain the small clavicle protuberances of their deekan parentage. Ivory elves also possess subdued sylvan features and grow in height between their deeka and elven parents. Their exotic mix of traits causes some resemblance to celestials and aasimars.

Galena have lead-gray skin and alabaster-white hair, but otherwise look like other ivory elves.

Land & Culture[edit]

Ivory elves have no homeland or distinct culture. Often, they're outcasts, never quite fitting in to either deeka or elven societies. Elves often find them as an affront to elven purity, like other half-breeds. They're more likely to fit in among cosmopolitan civilizations where their devotions and motivations can be given focus and direction. Those who travel tend to lead chaotic lives.

In their youth, many ivory elves learn as many languages as they can, often in an attempt to figure out who they are and where they belong in the world. Orphaned ivory elves often learn to speak Celestial instead of either Elven or Deeka when taken in by churches or temples.
