Jump Speed[edit]

A Jump Speed allows you to move in a straight line, even if doing so is impossible using regular land speed (for example, you could move directly above you, or across a body of water or bottomless pit). If you do not end your movement on the ground, you start to fall down at the beginning of your next turn, dealing falling damage as if you started from your ending point. In addition, you have a +8 racial bonus on any Jump check to perform some special action or avoid a hazard. You can always can choose to take 10 on a Jump check, even if distracted or endangered. You can use the run ability while using your jump speed.

Special: If you begin a turn off the ground but adjacent to a solid surface, you can avoid falling down by pushing off the surface and using your jump speed that turn.

Example: Jill is on a 100 foot high cliff. She uses her Jump Speed to go down 25 feet. She now takes falling damage as if she fell only 75.
