Creatures which fail the save shrink one size category, gaining all the [[SRD:Improving_Creatures#Size_Increases|size benefits and penalties]] of doing so.  However the shrinking never stops, and each day they must make a new save or shrink one more size smaller.  The caster can also force them to make a save or shrink as a standard action, as long as they are in range.  If the creature shrinks smaller than Fine size they implode, dying and winking out of existence.  Creatures gain a +2 bonus on the final save against shrinking smaller than Fine.  Unlike most curses, ''[[SRD:Dispel Magic|dispel magic]]'' works as well as ''[[SRD:Remove Curse|remove curse]]''.

Some risky casters use this as a ''[[SRD:Reduce Person|reduce person]]'' to apply to allies, as long as they remember to remove it before they shrink too far.
