Archaeologist [Archetype] Benefit: Archetype Feats grant benefits based on HD:

  • 1 HD: You gain a +4 bonus on any checks made to identify (such as by appraise or knowledge) objects and places from ancient civilization.
You may Disable Device as a standard action, no matter how complex the device is.
When you make an Appraise on an object, if you succeed a DC 20 + 1 for every 100 years the item existed you replicate an extraordinary object insight effect, if you beat the DC by 5 or more you also replicate identify. You may only attempt this ability once per object.
  • 3 HD: You gain Evasion and Uncanny Dodge but only against environmental hazards and traps. If you already possessed one of the other, you gain the Improved version against environmental hazards and traps.
  • 8 HD: If you are in an area effect which deals damage, you may choose to fly to the nearest edge of the area as a non-action, riding the shockwave out (even if the area of effect would not otherwise produce a shockwave). If you fail on your saving throw you may still take damage from the effect.
  • 15 HD: Your endless research lead you to the secret of everlasting youth, you gain Timeless Body.

Special: If you ever stop qualifying for this feat, you can trade it for another archetype feat you meet the prerequisites.
