The godseer is is ways similar to the paladin, however she is not chosen for her righteousness. Instead, she is shown a powerful vision by her god, gods or even god-like beings. The vision then inspires them, allowing them to draw power and shape their life henceforth. The godseer is a divine spellcaster with powerful divination abilities, allowing them to fight on the same feet as many combatants, all the while providing useful divinations and abilities.

Godseer[edit]

The godseer is is ways similar to the paladin, however she is not chosen for her righteousness. Instead, she is shown a powerful vision by her god, gods or even god-like beings. The vision then inspires them, allowing them to draw power and shape their life henceforth. The godseer is a divine spellcaster with powerful divination abilities, allowing them to fight on the same feet as many combatants, all the while providing useful divinations and abilities.

Making a Godseer[edit]

Abilities: A godseer require a good Wisdom for her spellcasting and class abilities. She also benefits from a high Constitution. If she want to be effective at range or melee combat, she usually needs either a good Strength or Dexterity, although that can be remedied through feats.

Class Features[edit]

All of the following are class features of the godseer.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: A godseer is proficient with all martial and simple weapons but not in any armor or shields.

Spells: A godseer is a divine spellcaster much like a cleric, however she is not restricted by her alignment when casting her spells. A godseer is a spontaneous spellcaster and does not prepare her spells ahead of time. Unlike a sorcerer she does not need to know a spell beforehand, instead she can cast directly from her spell list. However, she does possess domains like a cleric, and may cast any of her domain spells in her domain spell slot but not in others. The godseer uses her Wisdom to determine the DCs of her spells, the amount of additional spell slots she gains from a high ability score and the highest level spells she can cast. A godseer cast their spells from the following list:

0—Detect alignment, detect magic, know direction, read magic.

1st—Astral fugue, analyze object, augury, comprehend languages, detect thoughts, guidance, identify, identify symbol, object insight, true dodge, true strike.

2nd—Clairaudience/clairvoyance, confusion, divine insightSpC, find traps, locate object, locate portal, séance, see invisibility, see through fog, status, tongues.

3rd—Analyze event, arcane eye, arcane sight, detect survivors, discern lies, divination, lesser telepathic bond, locate creature, reveal doom, scrying.

4th—Analyze teleportation, commune, commune with nature, contact other plane, curse of misfortune, dangerous divination, greater clairaudience/clairvoyance, greater status, probe thoughts, prying eyes, telepathic bond.

5th—Analyze dweomer, brain spider, find the path, insanity, minimal effort, stone tell, true seeing.

6th—Discern location, eye of the gods, foresight, greater arcane sight, greater scrying, greater prying eyes, moment of prescience, time stop, vision.

A Godseer's spellcasting cannot benefit from the Ascended Progression feat and cannot be made into scrolls or consumable items as is. She may still craft magic consumables with the spells on her spell list, but they are treated as of the same level as they are found on either the Cleric, Druid or Wizard spell list. In addition, for the purpose of [Reserve] feats, she may treat her spells as either the level they appears on the godseer list, the Sorcerer/Wizard or Cleric spell list whenever beneficial.

Battle Prediction (Su): As a swift action, a godseer can grant herself or a single ally within close range her battle prediction bonus as an insight bonus to attack roll, damage roll and AC for 1 round. She may use this ability a number of times per day equal to 1/2 class level + her Wisdom modifier.

Domains: A godseer chooses two domains granted by her Vision. She may also always choose the Oracle domainSpC even if her Vision does not grant it.

Godly Vision: Upon entering the class, the godseer receives a specific vision from the gods. Once chosen, it cannot be changed, as it dictates what revelations and domains are available to her as well as her Prophetic Epiphany. A godseer chooses her Vision from the following list: Godseer (3.5e Class)/Visions

Revelation: At 1st level, 3rd level and each 3 level thereafter a Godseer select a single revelation from her vision list. Unless specified a revelation may only be selected once. She also has access to the list of revelation below in addition to her vision list.

Mysterious Purpose (Ex): You may use your Charisma instead of your Wisdom for all of your Godseer's class features. You gain a +1 inherent bonus to your Charisma.

Ritual Oil: You gain the Brew Potion feat as a bonus feat, you count as having all spells on the cleric list as a cleric of your level for the purpose of crafting potions.

Precognitive Dodge (Su): A 2nd level godseer is capable of easily dodging out of the way of incoming attacks by swiftly predicting them. The godseer add her Wisdom bonus as an insight bonus to her AC and Reflex saves in addition to their normal ability score. She does not benefit from this ability is she wears any armor, is using a shield heavier than a light shield or is carrying a medium load or heavier.

As long as a godseer benefit from Precognitive Dodge she also benefit from Evasion as a Rogue.

Uncanny Dodge (Ex): At 2nd level, the godseer gain Uncanny Dodge as the Barbarian's class feature.

Expanded Revelation: At 3rd level and beyond, the godseer select may select her revelations from either her Vision list, first list or the list below. Unless specified otherwise a revelation can only be selected once.

Bonus Feat: Choose a feat you meet the prerequisite for, you gain that feat as a bonus feat. You may select this ability twice.

Blind Seer (Ex): You become permanently blind, however your other sense allow you to act as if you were able to see. This effectively make you immune to blindness, gaze attack and make you able to fight invisible foes as if they were not.

Forewarning (Su): As an immediate action the godseer has a vision, and may use to save herself or warn an ally of an incoming danger. This allow the Godseer or an ally within 30 feet to reroll any d20 roll. This can be done even if the roll was already declared a failure. This ability may be used once per creature per day but is otherwise at-will. At 9th and 15th level, this revelation can be used an additional times per day per creature.

Prayer: As a full-round action you may cast any spell on the cleric list which require a standard action or less to cast with one of your Godseer spell of the same level. You may use this ability once per day with an additional uses at 6th level, 12th and 18th level.

Precognition (Su): As an immediate action, the godseer may reroll one failed saving throw or force an opponent to reroll a critical confirmation roll. She must accept the second result even if it worse. After using this ability she must wait 5 rounds before using it again.

Third Eye (Su): The godseer is under a constant see invisibility effect and count as interacting with any illusion she can see. The godseer must be 6th level or higher to select this Revelation.

Talented Spellsurge (Su): Twice per day, the godseer may cast a spell in one of her domain spells as a swift action using one of her regular spell slot of the same level. The spell must require 1 round or less to cast. The godseer must be 9th level or higher to select this Revelation.

Pierce Protection (Ex): A 4th level godseer gain half her class level as a competence bonus on checks and save made to pierce anti-divination protection such as nondetection or misdirection.

Improved Uncanny Dodge (Ex): At 4th level, the godseer gain Improved Uncanny Dodge as the Barbarian's class feature. She use her godseer's level as her effective barbarian level for this ability.

Fateful Prediction (Su): At the start of the encounter, a godseer of 7th level may make a powerful internal prediction. Choose a future turn beside the 1st and 2nd (such as the 3rd turn of the combat or 5th). During that turn you reroll all d20 and damage roll twice, taking the best result.

Foretold Destiny (Su): A 8th level godseer always act in surprise rounds and add her Wisdom bonus to her initiative checks.

Prophetize (Su): An 11th level godseer is capable of tapping into her Vision to greatly increase the power of her divinations. She may lengthen the casting time of her divination to 24 hours, if she does she doubles her caster level for that divination and it has no failure chances. She performs such act only once per month, as the gods don't easily reveal their secrets.

At 14th level they may Prophetize once per week. At 17th level the godseer may do so without any waiting time between sessions.

Immortal: A 13th level godseer no longer dies when she reach her maximum age.

Ignore Defenses (Ex): A 16th level godseer is able to pierce effects which lesser men and women cannot. When she casts a divination spell she ignores mind blank and similar defenses from creature whose CR does not exceed her own by 4 or more points.

Supreme Preparedness (Su): A 19th level godseer is considered to always roll 20 on her initiative checks.

Prophetic Epiphany: A 20th level godseer gain the Prophetic Epiphany of her Vision. Upon receiving her Epiphany she forevermore become an Outsider with her former type as augmented subtype, she also gain DR 10/Alignment and the ability to plane shift (self only) at-will.
