This ring originally appears to be a [[Red Tearstone Ring (3.5e Equipment)|red]] or [[Blue Tearstone Ring (3.5e Equipment)|blue]] tearstone ring, until the user first takes damage while wearing the ring.  Then its jewel color becomes a shining orange eye which glows with a fell light and the bands clamp tight around you.  The user takes double damage while worn, and cannot easily remove it.  It can be removed by ''[[SRD:Break Enchantment|break enchantment]]'' of at least 11th caster level, ''[[SRD:Limited Wish|limited wish]]'', ''[[SRD:Wish|wish]]'', or ''[[SRD:Miracle|miracle]]''.
