Migraine[edit]

Serious head pain which lasts for a long time, a more severe form of headache.

Migraines are severe headaches which may result from a trigger such as bright sunlight or certain odors. The throbbing pain prevents focusing and accuracy. Spellcasting (even divine spellcasting and psionics) and other acts which require concentration checks in response to damage have a 50% fail chance. You take a -8 penalty on Listen, Spot, and any checks which take more than 1 round to complete. You also take a -2 morale penalty to attack and AC, and are staggered. A staggered character may take a single move action or standard action each round (but not both, nor can she take full-round actions).

Migraines usually go away on their own in 2d6 hours after they start. Creatures which do not feel pain cannot have migraines. A less serious form of migraines are headaches.
