If you succeed you gain an extra round of consciousness plus an additional round beyond that for each 5 you beat the check. If you are able to breath before the duration elapse you do not fall unconscious or suffer any other consequences.

By virtue of having this skill trick, you may use an [[SRD:Autohypnosis|Autohypnosis]] check instead of a [[Constitution]] to continue [[SRD:Environment#Drowning|holding your breath]]. This does not require any activation and is a passive benefit of the skill check.
