''This shining greatsword has been sealed in a stone for 1000 years, blessing the area.  Its said the day someone pulls it from its stand, a great hero shall rise.''

This ''+1 [[SRD:Holy|holy]] greatsword'' applies the holy enhancement to both evil creatures and undead, and glows when within 30 ft of undead or evil outsiders.  It is immune the the effects of rust and decay over time.

Once per day as a full round action the user can plant the sword in the ground and generate the effect of ''[[SRD:Hallow|hallow]]'' for as long as the blade is placed in the ground.  It can apply any one of the spell effects listed in hallow onto it if the appropriate spell is cast upon the blade.

When placing the sword in the ground the user can set a contingency effect to make the blade unmovable until requirements are met or until its last wielder pulls it.  For example, only the user or a good aligned member of noble blood with red hair can draw the blade out.  While embedded it is frozen in place as per ''[[SRD:Temporal Stasis|temporal stasis]]''.  Many legends often grow around these embedded swords and the means of drawing them forth.
