===Personality===

Firenewts live in tribes of around 80-100 individuals, ruled by a tribal overlord (usually the highest level character in the tribe). They are carnivores who will eat anything they hunt, although they prefer the taste of [[SRD:Humanoid_Type|humanoids]] to others. Firenewts almost never use wooden weapons or tools because of the likelihood that their fire breath will cause them to combust, but their stone and metalworking techniques are second only to the [[SRD:Dwarf|dwarves]]. Their villages are made from hewn stone, and most firenewts are equipped with high quality metal weapons and armor. Firenewts are also talented at animal husbandry, and have been known to breed fire resistant mounts and livestock.
