A creation of the mad gnome Artificer, "Doctor" Micros Madcap, this item appears to be an ordinary top hat, or the medieval equivalent, used by the stereotypical stage magician.  Upon uttering the Command Word (Watch Me Pull a Rabbit Out of My Hat), the user reaches in and pulls out a random animal.  Roll to determine which chart of the first 3 Summon Nature’s Ally spell is used.  Then roll on that chart to randomly determine the animal.  Unless dismissed earlier, the summoned animal remains for 1 minute and only one summoned animal may be out of the hat at any given time.  Despite the command phrase, the animal that comes out is never a rabbit.  To dismiss the creature, simply say “Huh.  I must have got the wrong hat.”
