Personality

Ponies originate from a land called Equestria, leading pleasant lives and doing the work that makes them the happiest. Most are friendly and polite, though individual personalities are as varied as snowflakes. They are easily excitable and perhaps overly dramatic.

Physical Description

Ponies are smaller versions of horses. Their coats are widely varied in color, including colors that are normally not found in nature. They have manes which can be styled to resemble humanoid hair. There are two subspecies of pony: horned ponies and winged ponies. Winged ponies possess small wings just behind their shoulders, which somehow allow them to fly. Horned ponies possess a small, stubby single horn in the center of their forehead, and they are naturally adept at some form of magic. All Ponies possess a Cutie Mark, which magically appears on the pony's flank when the pony discovers their talent. The exact form of a cutie mark varies from pony to pony, but usually reflects an individual pony's natural gifts.

Relations

Ponies get along well with most non-evil races. They revere alicorns but do not worship them, instead regarding them as nobility.

Alignment

Most ponies tend to be good-aligned, and pony civilizations tend to be well-ordered. However, all alignments can be found within the pony population.

Lands

Ponies prefer temperate lands with forest and suitable farmlands. They coexist well with other animals, but not vermin or aggressive magical beasts. Ponies are extremely civilized, building towns and settlements wherever they choose to settle down. Winged ponies also will build cities in large clouds made permanent and semi-solid via magic.

Religion

Ponies do not worship deities as such, but they do respect nature and the natural elements.

Language

Ponies speak Common, though their speech tends to be more pony-centric, saying things like "everypony" or somepony" instead of "everyone" or "someone."

Names

Most Ponies have compound names, such as Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Twilight Sparkle, or Lauren Faust.

Racial Traits

Normal Pony

Most Ponies fall into this category, lacking either wings or a horn.

• +2 Charisma: Ponies are varied in their attributes, but for some reason everyone seems to love them.
• Magical Beast 
• Medium: As a Medium creature, a pony has no special bonuses or penalties due to its size.
• Pony base land speed is 40 ft. feet.  
• Cutie Mark (Ex): Upon gaining their first class level, a Pony gains a Cutie Mark. The image is up to the player, but it must be something associated with the chosen Class. This image is permanent the end shut up. Upon gaining the cutie mark, the player chooses one skill associated with the cutie mark, which must also be a class skill for the Pony. The Pony receives a +2 racial bonus to that skill, which may stack with other Pony racial bonuses. 
• Ortho-Podial Dexterity (Ex): Despite not having hands, Ponies are adept at using their hooves and teeth to perform almost any task and manipulate objects just as well as a creature with hands. This includes, but is not limited to: crafting items, wielding weapons, writing, baking, dressmaking, farming, and blowing up balloons.

Unicorn Pony

Unicorn Ponies have all the characteristics of a regular pony, as well as a single horn growing from the center of their forehead just above the eyes, of the same color as their fur. All unicorns are magically gifted to varying degrees, though not all unicorns devote themselves to the study of magical arts.

• Magical Beast 
• Medium: As a Medium creature, an unicorn pony has no special bonuses or penalties due to its size.
• Unicorn Pony base land speed is 40 ft. feet.  
• Horn Magic (Sp): All horned ponies can use the spell Mage Hand at will, with CL equal to their HD. 
• Horn Spells (Sp): A unicorn may also use the magic of her horn to cast Spectral Hand a number of times per day equal to the Pony's Charisma modifier (minimum 1). Instead of a ghostly hand however, the spectral hand takes the form of a floating unicorn horn. Unlike the spell, a unicorn does not lose hit points when using this ability, and the Spectral Hand always has 4 hit points. 
• Bonus Feat: Improved Familiar (pseudodragon) (Ex): Unicorn ponies who are granted familiars via class features may select a Pseudodragon as their familiar, as the feat Improved Familiar, even if they do not meet the normal prerequisites for the feat. Unicorn Ponies who do not gain a familiar via class features do not gain the benefit of this ability.

Winged Pony

Winged ponies have all the characteristics of a regular pony, as well as a pair of wings that match their fur color, which allow them to fly. As stated above, winged ponies often dwell in cloud cities far above the surface of Equestria. Most are proud of their flight ability, and many compete with each other to see which among them is the fastest, most maneuverable flier.

• +2 Dexterity: In addition to their Charisma bonus, winged ponies are skillful flyers with better than average reflexes.
