Earthsoul Crossbow

The earthsoul crossbow is actually a reproduction of a more powerful and undiscovered artifact known as the Gaia's Bow, a weapon which permitted the user to communicate with the soul of the planet itself. However, the planet's mind is so vast and so alien such contact would inevitably be fatal, so these tools obscure and augment the resonance with the earth, turning it into an indirect method of communication with the spirits of the planet. The earthsoul crossbows were created by a druidic order of dwarves who were unearthing and discovering the secrets of the original Gaia's bow, but their operation can be inconsistent.

The earthsoul crossbow is effectively a +1 worldwood heavy crossbow, treating the crossbow as a bow. The strength requirement is 13 in order to reload the weapon, and if you have a strength of 9 or less you are unable to reload the weapon. When wielded, you gain an awareness of your surroundings and gain some subtle feedback from your environment, granting a +5 bonus to Listen, Spot, and Survival checks. In addition you can use wall of stone at will, but limited to a 10 ft by 10 ft by 5 ft thick wall. In addition you can only have one such wall out at a time, with subsequent castings removing previous walls (treat as a permanent effect rather than an instantaneous effect).

If you are under the effect of a morale bonus or penalty or if you are under the effect of rage, you can gain expanded abilities. You may choose to inflict any morale penalty you are under upon targets you hit with the weapon's attacks. Creatures get the same saving throws, if any, that you had to resist the morale penalty and it lasts as long as your penalty would last. If you have a morale bonus, you can choose to heal a number of hit points equal to your morale bonus with each attack with your weapon. And if you are raging, you may use your Strength for attack rolls, add Strength to damage rolls, and may use melee only abilities at range while using this weapon.

If you have divine spellcasting, you can choose to spontaneously lose a divine spell of any level to gain a morale bonus to attack equal to the spell level sacrificed, but only on attacks with this weapon. The bonus lasts for 1 minute.
