Eiji's Chaos Creation Engine[edit]

Eiji's Chaos Creation Engines have been discovered in the strangest of places, from hidden away in the depths of the deepest ancient crypt to suddenly appearing one day in a busy town marketplace inside a treasure chest. How these machines keep arriving on the material plane is unknown, and any Eijilund Plushies often try to collect them. Presumably to send them back home. Or maybe to just play with it. You can never be sure with them.

The engines are alien devices roughly the size and shape of a large barrel, about 60 lbs, and made of unknown materials, colored lights, screws and cogs, pipes and levels, and all sorts of technological gadgetry which seems to serve no purpose. Each engine is different, but all possess a flat top and a big red button on the side, as well as the words Property of Solaris Eiji. Do not remove tag. engraved in its tag-less side.

Once per day the red button can be pressed, and the engine gets to work by flashing lights, making noise, and spitting smoke and fire seemingly at random. After a cacophonous 1 minute of work, the top of the barrel opens in a blinding flash of light. By the time the glare passes the top is already sealed and the product is displayed in the nearest valid space. And what is the end product of the creation engines?

There seems to be no clear pattern. Roll on the table below to see what is created.

Creation Engine results
d10 Result Description
1 You Win Death! An encounter with created enemies occurred, matched to the party! They immediately attack! If rolling more than once (such as by getting a result of 10), reroll any repeats of a result of 1.
2 Boom! A fireball explodes centered on the machine dealing 10d6 damage, DC 20. After the fireball, a single 5d6 bead from a Necklace of Fireballs appears in its place.
3 Nyan Nyan! A Decanter of Endless Kittens spraying out at geyser strength starts spinning in random directions for 1 minute. After 1 minute the decanter vanishes, but the kittens remain.
4 I decided to become comfy... You obtain a pre-lit and warm bonfire already compressed into cloth form as if by shrink item. You can activate it simply by tossing it down in an empty space.
5 You almost won! A single gold piece appears. If appraised, the face on the coin winks at you.
6 Console Commands Enabled! You obtain a scroll of big head mode. There is a 10% chance that casting it will affect all creatures in a 100 ft radius with no save.
7 Random Wikipedia Page says... You obtain a random book which seems normal at first, such as a cookbook or a story of Huckleberry Finn, but gets increasingly strange and off topic as time goes on. If you read it entirely (which takes 1 hour) you gain a +5 bonus on any d20 roll you make in the next 24 hours. Somehow the book's topic was on exactly that. After the book is read, it becomes a normal mundane (if strange) book.
8 Candy! Enough food to feed a party of four adult humans. It can appear as many meals, but all meals are very sweet for some reason.
9 It's gone haywire! A haywire wand of a random 3rd level or lower spell, with 20 charges. It starts out activated.
10 Roll twice, ignore 10s.
