The process of alchemical creation of an homunculus is difficult, and the end product resembles more an amphibian than a humanoid. A group of rogue alchemists of Antevortan Alchemist's College swore to perfect the process, and create a perfect, flawless homunculus. Through tireless experiments, and many failures, they finally succeeded. The result was the klon homunculus, utterly refined and without impurities. However the result wasn't an unblemished ubermensch as the rogue alchemists hoped. Instead a klon homunculus looks exactly like a fine version of the creator, a tiny clone of sorts. Despite looking exactly like a miniature adult version of the creator, klon homunculi are aggressive and mean spirits. Much like a large rat, or a small dog.

They are fairly intelligent and are capable of speech. A klon homunculus knows one of their master's languages, usually their native tongue.

Combat[edit]

Klon homunculi are somewhat underwhelming at fighting, although when they do they prefer reach weapons to defeat their foes.

Combat Instruction (Ex): Klon homunculi are proficient with all simple weapons, and one martial weapon of their creator's choice. For the purpose of this entry, the glaive was chosen.

Living Construct Traits (Ex): Unlike other constructs, klon homunculi have a constitution score. As living constructs, they do not gain bonus hit points by size, but rather through constitution as other living creatures. They do not have low-light vision, and are not immune to mind-influencing effects. They have an immunity to poison, sleep effects, paralysis, disease, sickening, nausea, fatigue, exhaustion, and energy drain. They cannot heal damage naturally, and take half benefit from positive energy cure spells. However, they take full benefit from the repair series of spells. They are subject to critical hits, effects requiring a Fortitude save, death from massive damage, nonlethal damage, stunning, ability damage, ability drain, and death and necromancy effects. When reduced to 0 hit points, a living construct is disabled, just like a living creature, and when its hit points are less than 0 but greater than -10, it is inert. It is unconscious and helpless, but stable. They may be raised and resurrected as normal, and have no need to eat, sleep, or breathe, though they may benefit from consumables. Though they do not need to sleep, they must still rest for 8 hours before preparing spells, as normal.

Racial Connection (Ex): A klon homunculus gains all benefits and drawbacks of its creator's race. They have the same racial subtype as their creator and count as their creator's race for the purpose of which effect can target them.

Vicious (Ex): Klon homunculi have 1d6 Sneak Attack as a 1st level Rogue. All klon homunculi also have a bite attack.

CONSTRUCTION[edit]

The process of creating a klon homunculus is roughly the same as creating an homunculus. Except it requires a DC 23 Craft (Alchemy) checks to purify the process. Only someone who is aware of the purification process can perform it, usually a closely guarded secret. A klon homunculus may only be created by a creature of the humanoid type.
