Making a Lesser Displacer Beast Paragon

Abilities: As a melee creature, Strength, Dexterity, and Constitution are paramount. Fortunately all receive boosts as you progress.

Races: Lesser Displacer Beast.

Alignment: Any.

Class Features

All of the following are class features of the lesser displacer beast paragon.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: The lesser displacer beast is not proficient in any new weapons, and are proficient in light armor.

Enhanced Form (Ex): The lesser displacer beast paragon is as a masterwork weapon in a field of normal weapons. Their natural attacks are considered masterwork, and their natural attacks may be enhanced as if they were manufactured weapons. Their bodies may also be enhanced as if they were armor with an armor bonus of +0.

Improved Natural Weapons (Ex): The lesser displacer beast paragon has a fierce bite and long powerful tentacles. Their bite attack deals 1d8 with a 20/x3 critical, and their tentacles deal 1d6 with a 18-20/x2 critical. In addition, their tentacles gain reach, though they may still attack adjacent creatures.

Natural Armor (Ex): The lesser displacer beast paragon gains his class level as a natural armor bonus (up to +5 at 5th).

Track: The lesser displacer beast paragon gains Track as a bonus feat, even if he does not meet the requirements.

Ability Boost: At 2nd level the lesser displacer beast paragon increases his Dexterity and Wisdom ability scores by 2 points.

At 3rd he increases his Strength ability scores by 2 points.

At 4th he increases his Strength and Constitution ability scores by 2 points.

Finally at 5th he increases his Strength ability scores by 2 points.

Improved Displacement: At 3rd level a lesser displacer beast's displacement ability upgrades from blur to displacement, though they retain the duration of blur (1 minute/level). This grants them a 50% miss chance.

Constant Displacement: At 5th level, a lesser displacer beast paragon is constantly under the effect of displacement, even if they aren't 15 HD yet.

Playing a Lesser Displacer Beast Paragon

Religion: Lesser displacer beasts do not have a unified religion and, often, rarely have a religion. There's no time for idle prayer when one could be hunting.

Other Classes: The lesser displacer beast is usually seen as an animal, both in form and in fact that most are little more than such. Yet adventurers forget that even the savage displacer beast has an intelligence, and can speak the common tongue. Most only choose not to.

Combat: You're a beast, equipped with powerful natural weapons and a potent illusory defense. Get on the front line, or stalk in the shadows.

Advancement: It may seem strange, but martial initiators work wonders with the progression of the lesser displacer beast.

Daily Life: A lesser displacer beast is always on the hunt or resting in the wild, but in an adventuring party his options suddenly open up wide. Who knows what the lesser displacer beast might find to do. Just remember, most will treat them as the monster they appear.

Notables: Not all displacer beasts are villains. Some say a displacer beast named Coeurl was raised by humans in the army and became one of the bravest soldiers to fight in the war.

Organizations: The lesser displacer beast can be found in tribes or in solitude, and rarely in adventuring parties.

NPC Reactions: Most NPCs do not take kindly to monsters roaming the town, no matter how safe they claim to be.
