Love of X
Fuck yeah, mollusks rock!
Benefit: Select...just about anything you know of. It can be a hobby, like sports or video games, or a certain kind of creature(as broad as Humanoid or Animal, as specific as one type of squid or people with birthmarks, or somewhere in the middle, like cephalopods or Dwarves), or a kind of object, like computers or guns. You gain a +5 bonus to most skill checks with this topic. This usually includes Knowledge checks, but can also include Diplomacy(although not Bluff or Intimidate), Handle Animal, and even things like Perform or Profession if the subject is an activity, or Craft, Forgery, or even Program(for technology) if it's an object. However, the interaction must be with the subject. They can't just be in the room or something, they need to be the subject of the check.
Drawback: Unless far more pressing matters are at hand, you must prioritise the protection of said subject and things correlating to it when they are around. You may still perform other activities, but those activities are secondary to their protection and, if living, comfort. You are always fascinated in the presence of the topic, although you may still act to interact with the topic. If you want to cease fascination with it, and prioritize other objectives, you must collect yourself as a full-round action, which requires you pass a DC 23 Will save. You also have a very hard time bringing harm to the topic, taking a -5 to skill checks, attack rolls, damage rolls, saves, and AC when behaving with hostility toward the topic, though you may take a full round action to try and snap yourself out of this as well if you have good reason to be hostile towards it, though the penalty remains for attack rolls and skill checks, but is reduced to -2.
Special: You may select this multiple times, choosing a new topic for each.
Roleplaying Ideas: You really love golfing, and have a hard time stopping. Or, you're an expert on reptiles, and think they are, just, the coolest thing. Or you really like Elves, and get along with them because you've studied all of their customs. Or whatever else you just really like doing or thinking about.
