There is a whole world of exploration, and if weapons and armor aren't enough for you, you may also consider some basic survival/ adventuring tools. Travelling gear, whether on a trek into the heart of a cavernous system or out in the plains of a firefight, is an essential part of surviving through the world. Such materials might not be beneficial at higher levels, but the option is completely available.
