Mithral Water Clock[edit]

This lavish, elegant waterclock was constructed for use as a centerpiece in a temple of Cen in a capitol city. Save for some small parts of crystal, plungers, and floats, the device is made almost entirely of mithral.

The clock features devices for aiding in astronomical calculations. It houses a powered armillary sphere and displays phases of the moons and seasons. Several automata periodically move about the device, striking mithral bells and gongs to signal the change of time as well as bird automata warbling at noon.

Like any water clock, it gives a calculation of time within a half hour per day, which can be made more or less accurate by how steady the temperature is kept for the water and the device. In order to accurately assist in recalibrating the clock, a sundial is mounted on the top.
