Class Features[edit]

All of the following are class features of the <-class name->.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Monks are proficient with all Monk Style weapons. Monk Style weapons are unarmed strikes, natural weapons, feral strikes, or special monk weapons. When wearing armor, using a shield, or carrying a medium or heavy load, a monk loses her AC bonus, as well as her fast movement and flurry abilities.

Resilience (Ex): A monk reduces all damage she takes by the amount listed in the table. (1.5 per class level rounded down)

The Monk may, by expending his Ki Focus as an immediate action, reduce any damage he takes for 1 round by 50%. This reduction takes place before damage reduction and similar abilities.

Fast Movement (Ex): A monk increases all of her base speeds by the amount listed in the table. (7ft per class level rounded down to the nearest 5ft interval)

While maintaining his Ki Focus, the monk may ignore nonmagical difficult terrain and make 10ft steps instead of 5ft steps.
The Monk may, by expending his Ki Focus as an immediate action, gain the effects of freedom of movement until the beginning of his next turn.

Flurry or Decisive Blow (Ex): As a full attack action you may perform one of the following two actions. When using either ability, all attacks made that round take a –2 penalty to hit. This penalty applies for 1 round, so it also affects attacks of opportunity she might make before her next action. When using either option, she may attack only with Monk Style weapons. She may attack with Monk Style weapons interchangeably as desired. When using weapons as part of a flurry or decisive blow, she applies her Strength bonus (not Str bonus × 1-1/2 or ×1/2) to her damage rolls for all successful attacks, whether she wields a weapon in one or both hands. She can’t use any weapon other than a Monk Style weapon as part of a flurry or decisive blow.

Flurry: A monk may strike with a flurry. When doing so, she may make one extra attack in a round at her highest base attack bonus. In the case of a double weapon, each end counts as a separate weapon for the purpose of using the flurry.
Decisive Blow: As Flurry except you make a single attack. This attack and all attacks made until the beginning of her next turn deal double damage. This ability may not be combined with flurry. DCs from the attack are increased by 2 (such as stunning fist).
By expending her Ki focus as a swift action, a 3rd level or higher monk may use flurry or decisive blow as a standard action.
When a monk reaches ECL 11, in addition to the standard single extra attack she gets from flurry or the single attack she makes as a decisive blow, she gets a second extra attack at her full base attack bonus.

Evasion (Ex): If a monk makes a successful Reflex saving throw against an attack that normally deals half damage on a successful save, she instead takes no damage. Evasion can be used only if a monk is wearing light armor or no armor. A helpless monk does not gain the benefit of evasion.

If the monk already has evasion or gains the ability again later, she gains improved evasion as a rogue.

Ki Enhancement (Su): While maintaining his Ki Focus, the monk adds her Wisdom bonus (if any) as an insight bonus to her AC. This bonus to AC applies even against touch attacks or when the monk is flat-footed. She loses this bonus when she is immobilized or helpless, when she wears any armor, when she carries a shield, or when she carries a medium or heavy load.

In addition, a monk gains a +1 bonus to various statistics at 3rd level. This bonus increases by 1 for every two monk levels thereafter (+2 at 5th, +3 at 7th, and +4 at 9th level).

The Monk may, by expending his Ki Focus as a swift action, double his Ki Enhancement bonus for 1 round.

At level 1, The Monk applies his Ki Enhancement bonus to his Armor Class. These bonuses to AC applies even against touch attacks or when the monk is flat-footed. She loses this bonus when she is immobilized or helpless, when she wears any armor, when she carries a shield, or when she carries a medium or heavy load.
At level 5, The Monk also applies it to any opposed rolls he makes, skill and ability checks, and critical confirmation rolls. He may expend his Ki Focus as an immediate action or a swift action.
At level 9, The Monk also applies it as a resistance bonus on saving throws. When unarmored and unencumbered,

Unarmed Damage: At 1st level, a monk gains proficiency with her unarmed strike and any natural or feral strike weapons she possesses. A monk’s attacks may be with either fist interchangeably or even from elbows, knees, feet or any other body part. This means that a monk may even make unarmed strikes with her hands full. There is no such thing as an off-hand attack for a monk striking unarmed. A monk may thus apply her full Strength bonus on damage rolls for all her unarmed strikes. Usually a monk’s unarmed strikes deal lethal damage, but she can choose to deal nonlethal damage instead with no penalty on her attack roll. She has the same choice to deal lethal or nonlethal damage while grappling. A monk’s unarmed strike is treated both as a manufactured weapon and a natural weapon for the purpose of spells and effects that enhance or improve either manufactured weapons or natural weapons. She also deals this damage with all Monk Style weapons and weapons which she has chosen with Weapon Focus. A monk also deals more damage with her unarmed strikes than a normal person would, as shown on Table: The Monk. The unarmed damage on Table: The Monk is for Medium monks. A Small monk deals less damage than the amount given there with her unarmed attacks, while a Large monk deals more damage; see Table: Monk Unarmed Damage by Size.

Slow fall (Su): The monk never takes falling damage and never lands prone from a fall.

The monk may expend 1 Ki gain the ability to set her apparent weight to almost nothing as a free action for 1 round, allowing her to walk upon water and dance on the end of a needle. This has the effect of allowing her to walk upon liquid or otherwise unsuitable surfaces (though they may still require a balance check if the surface is too thin in width or is in motion). In addition, it makes her acrobatics much easier to pull off. She may take 10 on Balance, Climb, Jump, Swim, and Tumble checks even if in a stressful situation.

The monk may expend 1 Ki to gain the effects of Airwalk for 1 round.

The monk may expend 1 Ki to treat gravity as objective directional towards any surface within reach for 1 round.

The monk may take 2 Ki Drain to have any or all of these effects last for 1 minute.

Whole Self (Su): The monk has Rapid Healing equal to her class level, healing that amount every hour. This ability counts as Wholeness of Body.

By expending 1 Ki as a standard action, she may either heal herself of 1d8 points of damage per 3 HD, or replicate the effects of lesser restoration on herself.

The monk may take 2 Ki drain as a full round action to regrow any missing body parts in 1 round.

Ki Strike (Su): A monk's attacks with special monk weapons, or any weapon she can use her unarmed damage with, are treated as being magical, adamantine, and possess her alignment for all purposes when beneficial.

By expending 1 Ki, she may grant her weapon an enhancements and special abilities as a fully augemented (manifester level equals twice class level) manifest blade power for 1 minute.

By expending 1 Ki, all attacks she makes until the beginning of her next turn bypass all damage reduction, energy resistance, and regeneration.

Pure Body (Ex): A monk is immune to diseases and poisons. She takes minimum damage from all environmental effects. This ability counts as Purity of Body and Diamond Body.

Pure Mind (Su): A monk no longer automatically fails Will saves on a natural 1. You gain a bonus on saves against mind-affecting effects equal to half your class level. This ability counts as Still Mind.

Never Rushed (Su): You can always take 10 on skill checks.

Pure Spirit (Su): She has Spell Resistance equal to her ECL + 10 which she can raise or lower as a free action even when it is not her turn. This ability counts as Diamond Soul.

Abundant Step (Su): You may teleport as per a Bamf spell, except you move a distance equal to your speed. You get 1 rounds worth for free each round, additional rounds for using the higher options cost Ki instead of duration.

By expending your Ki Focus, you may open a portal to another plane as per Plane Tearing Strike feat.

Expanded Ki (Ex): The monk's Ki pool becomes equal to her class level plus her wisdom bonus as a base instead of 3 + Wisdom bonus if it would be higher.

Perfect Health (Ex): A monk receives maximum hit points for all past and future HD, and no longer automatically fails fortitude saves on a natural 1. You gain a special version of Codex Endurance that grants all 4 benefits and treats your strength and constitution scores as a number of points higher equal to your class level instead of 4.

Perfect Memory (Ex): You always succeed on Autohypnosis check to memorize information, and may memorize any piece of information. You may only recall this information while maintaining your Ki Focus.

Tongue of the Sun and Moon (Su): You may speak with any living or Undead creature and living objects as if you shared a language.

By expending 1 Ki, you may replicate the effects of a Speak with Dead spell for 1 minute.

By expending 1 Ki, you may replicate the effects of a Stonetell spell for 1 minute, except it allows you to communicate with any object.

Timeless Body (Su): A monk no longer takes penalties to her ability scores for aging and cannot be magically aged. Any such penalties that she has already taken, however, remain in place. Bonuses still accrue, and the monk still dies of old age when her time is up. She is immune to effects that age her and effects with the [Time] descriptor only affect her if she is conscious and willing.

Empty Self (Su): You may render yourself ethereal for 1 round by expending 1 Ki as a free action during your turn.

While maintaining your Ki Focus, you may interact with ethereal and incorporeal creatures and objects as if they were not incorporeal or ethereal.

Third Eye Template:Ex & Su: You gain lowlight vision and darkvision 60ft (full color) and penalties for distance for listen and spot are halved. If you already had Darkvision increase its range by 60ft. If you already had lowlight vision, increase the multiplier by 2. Any other superior sense you have increases its range by 50%.

While maintaining your Ki Focus, you may spend 1 Ki as a free action to gain blindsense out to 30ft for 1 round. You may expend your Ki Focus as a move action to turn your blindsense, into blindsight for 1 round.

Perfect Self (Su): At 10th level, a monk becomes a magical creature. She becomes an outsider but is still treated as a humanoid (or whatever the monk’s creature type was) when beneficial. Her Ki Strike counts as epic for overcoming damage reduction and regeneration. Unlike other outsiders, the monk can still be brought back from the dead as if she were a member of her previous creature type. You are constantly under extraordinary adapt body and greater endure elements effects.

Bonus Feats: At each odd level, the monk may select a bonus feat that has prerequisites of unarmed, stunning fist or monk levels. She treats her monk level as twice her class level to qualify and may ignore any prerequisites a monk could ignore.
