Used to describe a multiple of objects, the object of floppy surprise is thrown at a target, dazing them in absolute bafflement. It can be anything vaguely flexible and throw-able such as a fish, wet noodles, a giant sausage, or anything of similar consistency and size. It is a throwing weapon with 10 ft range increment as a ranged touch attack. On impact it deals 1d3 + Strength in non-lethal damage with a 20/x2 critical, and those struck must make a Will save (DC 10 + 1/2 HD + your highest mental ability score) or render the target dazed for 1 round, or until they are attacked. The dazing is a mind-affecting effect.
This ability works on surprise, and so doesn't function more than once per encounter, or if the target is expecting it. Fortunately the object of floppy surprise is drawn out as if it were ammunition (a free action).
Prerequisites: Craft Wondrous Item, daze.
