Overvitalized Creature[edit]

A strange manifesation of life that turn a creature into a colossus of life, but not without drawback...

An overvitalized creature is a creature which has received a huge amount of life force, and the creature is so brimming of life force than it faintly shines a pure illumination of life. This strange manifestation of life can came from the will of a deity of nature or life, or can came from a power of an ancient artefact. But you can stole this ability by killing an overvitalized creature.

Creating a Overvitalized creature[edit]

All creatures with a Constitution score can receive this template, and it is possible to receive this template multiple time, up to half the Constitution modifier of the creature (up to 5 times maximum). The creature which has receive this template at least one time has a Overvitalization Tier and an amount of changes due to his new nature.

Overvitalized Tier[edit]

The more the creature receives this template, the more its life force grows.

Size and Type[edit]

An Overvitalized creature retains his size and type but gains the Overvitalized subtype.

Hit Dice[edit]

The Overvitalised creature gains no HD, but his HP rise by 10 % per Overvitalization Tier the creature has (see The Overvitalized Tiers table above).

Special Qualities[edit]

Vulnerability to Negative Energy (Ex). Storing a huge amount of life force render an overvitalized creature very sensitive to negative energy, whether that negative energy is magical, psionic, supernatural, or natural. A tier 1 overvitalized creature receives A tier 1 overvitalized creature receives 10% more damage from attacks, spells, powers, or other abilities using negative energy. Superior tiers increase this vulnerability as show in "The Overvitalized Tiers" table above. This effect stacks with other similar effects.

Overvitalized Lifeforce Pool (Ex). An overvitalized creature gains a pool of overvilatized lifeforce. This pool is an amount of special lifeforce that is equal to the Constitution Score x Overvitalization Tier of the creature. This amount of overvitalized lifeforce not count as HP, but if the HPs of the creature down to 0, all damage it receives is substracted from it overvitalized lifeforce pool, and the creature continue to act as if it has more than 0 HP. When its overvitalized lifeforce pool and its HP reach 0, the creature die. The overvitalized lifeforce pool become full of energy after each long rest. Due to the overvitalized nature of the creature, these one stop dying at -10 HP, but die when its overvitalized lifeforce pool AND its HPs reach 0 instead.

Overvitalized Aspect (Su). When an overvitalized creature's HP reach 0 (or lower), it take on the overvitalized aspect. Under this special aspect, the creature gain a insight bonus of +2 on AC per Overvitalized Tier it has, and a insight bonus of +2 on all attack per Overvitalization Tier it has. After 3 rounds + 1 rounds per Overvitalization Tier it has, this aspect ends and the creature regains HP equal to his HD x the Overvitalization Tier it has. It can use this ability once per day per Overvitalization Tier it has.

Overvitalized Blinking (Ex). As a rapid action by paying HP equal to his Constitution score, the creature can become "Overvitalized" as per the Overvitalized Aspect ability and gains all the benefits of the ability, but for 1 round only. After using this ability, it cannot be reuse before 1d4 rounds. Using this ability not spend your uses per day of the Overvitalized Aspect ability, but you can not use this ability if you have spent all your uses par day of the Overvitalized Aspect ability.

Overvitalized Startle (Su). Once per day you can halve the amount of overvitalized lifeforce you have, then you gain the same amount of HP in addition of a percentage equal to your Constitution Score. Now, If you receive an amount of positive energy which heal you and increase your HPs, all points of positive energy that exceed your maximum HPs can increase your overvitalized lifeforce pool with a converting rate of two points of positive energy for one overvitalized lifeforce point. You must reach the Tier 3 to have access to this ability.

Tyranny of Life (Ex). Now, the percentage of extra life you receive (by this template) is now applied to your Overvitalized Lifeforce Pool (in addition to your HPs) and increase your amount of overvitalized lifeforce by the same percentage as for your HP. In addition, you a immune to all effect from the Positive Energy Plane as if you were a natural dweller of this Plane. You must reach the Tier 5 to have access to this ability.
