1. See Damage Increases by Size to calculate the damage for a weapon larger than Medium or smaller than Small.
2. Weight figures are for Medium weapons. A Small weapon weighs half as much, and a Large weapon weighs twice as much.
3. When two types are given, the weapon is both types if the entry specifies "and", either type (player's choice at time of attack) if the entry specifies "or", or each end of the double weapon is a different type if the entry specifies "/".
4. The hp value given is for Medium armor, weapons, and shields. Divide by 2 for each size category of the item smaller than Medium, or multiply it by 2 for each size category larger than Medium.

A rifle spear is quite simply a spear with a in-built rifle in the shaft, the blade of the spear is divided in two with a small space dedicated to the cannon. The profile above is for the rifle part of the weapon, it is otherwise used in melee like a Longspear.

The rifle spear may be loaded with cartridge or buckshot. If loaded with a cartridge the weapon shoot as normal. However if it loaded with buckshot the attack become a 30 ft cone with an attack roll against all target within the cone. A rifle spear can hold two ammunition at any time, it must be reloaded as a full-round action.

If the wielder possess the appropriate exotic weapon proficiency it gain access to the following Weapon Arts:

Combo Shot: After hitting a foe in melee with a rifle spear the wielder may make a single ranged attack with it as an immediate action against the struck creature. This attack automatically hit the creature, but not any other creature which are caught in the shot.

Melee Shooting: Shooting the rifle spear no longer provoke attacks of opportunity.

Spinning Spear Style: Much like the Spinning Spear the rifle spear is extremely balanced and may be used in a way which allow it to be used as a double weapon much like a quarterstaff. In this state it deals bludgeoning damage and does not have reach, though the wielder may switch between normal stance and spinning spear style as a free action. In addition, they are counted as not having their hands full for the purposes of interacting with the Deflect Arrows feat, and the exotic weapon proficiency feat counts as Improved Unarmed Strike for the purposes of pre-requisites to gain Deflect Arrows.
