Sublime Mageblade[edit]

Spells and Incantations are all well and good. But sometime you need more brute force in your game.

A sublime mageblade is a gish class focused around mixing martial maneuvers and spellcasting. They have multiple abilities allowing them to mix both as well as powerful support abilities such as the mageblade, allowing them to manifest a weapon ready to use.

Becoming a Sublime Mageblade[edit]

Entry Requirements  
Base Attack Bonus: +3. 
Skills: Martial Lore 5 ranks, Spellcraft 5 ranks. 
Feats: Arcane Swordsage, Combat Casting
Spellcasting: Must be capable of casting 1st level spells.. 
Maneuver: Must be able of initiating 1st level maneuvers.

Class Features[edit]

All of the following are class features of the Sublime Mageblade.

Spellcasting: At each level, you gain new spells per day and an increase in caster level (and spells known, if applicable) as if you had also gained a level in a spellcasting class to which you belonged before adding the prestige class level. You do not, however, gain any other benefit a character of that class would have gained. If you had more than one initiating class before becoming a Sublime Mageblade, you must decide to which class to add each level for the purpose of determining spells per day, caster level, and spells known.

Initiating: At each level, you gain new maneuver known, readied and stance known and an increase in initiator level as if you had also gained a level in a initiating class to which you belonged before adding the prestige class level. You do not, however, gain any other benefit a character of that class would have gained. If you had more than one initiating class before becoming a Sublime Mageblade, you must decide to which class to add each level for the purpose of determining maneuver known, maneuver readied, initiator level, and stance known.

Arcane Training: A sublime mageblade has the ability to learn spells as maneuvers like the Arcane Swordsage feat. Whenever she gain another maneuver known she may select one spell of a level at least 2 level below the highest spell level or maneuver level she can cast (whichever is lower) of the abjuration, evocation or transmutation school from her spell list. You gain that spell as a maneuver, it is readied and recovered as a normal maneuver and use your initiator level as it caster level, this maneuver is a supernatural ability. The learned maneuver is always a strike, it DC is based on your highest mental ability score and it duration become 1/round level if it was originally longer.

Mageblade (Sp): At 1st level a sublime mageblade can summon a weapon made of her magical martial spirit as a swift action. She need to be proficient with the weapon and it last for as long a she is holding it and 3 round thereafter (the duration does not end if she pick it up in time). The mageblade has an enhancement bonus equal to one third of the sublime mageblade's initiator level. Any enhancement bonus beyond the first may be used to gain additional enhancement bonuses or equivalent special weapon qualities, though the weapon is still subject to a maximum +5 flat enhancement bonus. The exact enhancement and qualities of the weapon are chosen by sublime mageblade after a 10 minutes meditation.

Martial Compensation: At 2nd level a sublime mageblade initiator level or caster level now equal the highest of the two.

Bonus Feat (Ex): At 3rd level a sublime mageblade gain a single [fighter] or [metamagic] bonus feat she meet the prerequisites of.

Sublime Counterspell (Ex): At 4th level a sublime mageblade may expend one of her readied maneuver attempt to counter a spell as an immediate action as long as successfully identify the spell as if she attempted to counter the spell with the same spell. She do not spend actually a spell when attempting to use sublime counterspell.
