Domain Power[edit]

I agree with that assessment; I knew it was the diciest thing to deal with and while the ramifications were somewhat obvious I couldn't help wanting outside confirmation, so I'll be looking to change it pronto. - TG Cid (talk) 03:07, 11 June 2013 (UTC)
What if it only jumps you one place ahead of your current spot in the initiative count for the same action cost? It still places some value on Improved Initiative and is far different than automatically going first, but it still preserves the ability at its core. Good compromise? - TG Cid (talk) 03:14, 11 June 2013 (UTC)
Extreme weakness to bag of rats detected. --174.61.170.65 05:05, 11 June 2013 (UTC)
That would be a start/better; that said, from what I've seen, many DMs group a single monster type to a single initiative which could make this feat very binary (and still do the same thing) if you only face a single monster type and all your friends delay. Not a big deal since hopefully it doesn't come up all the time, but it's something to think about. --Ghostwheel (talk) 05:42, 11 June 2013 (UTC)
I admit that it could be funky with delays and such, but as you pointed out I think that could be situational enough that I can not worry about it too much while still recognizing it as a possible occurrence. I also can't figure out what the weakness to bag of rats alluded to by the IP is. In any case, I went ahead and changed the domain power to only one place forward in the initiative count and will continue to make edits as needed. - TG Cid (talk) 06:16, 11 June 2013 (UTC)
If the rats get different initiative places, then you usually just get to go before one more rat than you'd otherwise be able to. Woo. To counter Ghostwheel's solution, have some mice, kittens, and chickens in the bag too. --174.61.170.65 07:23, 11 June 2013 (UTC)
Fair enough, although I can't say that deters me enough to make me reconsider. - TG Cid (talk) 15:49, 11 June 2013 (UTC)
