Armor Piercing[edit]

I'm thinking a shot from a cannon should probably be resolved as a ranged touch attack, since it does not take too much consideration to the armor or natural armor of its target, at the very least in the first range increments (or should at least be resolved as with DR below, since it is diminutive). You should probably add an attack penalty to that because of the recoil and lack of aiming apparatus. Also, it should probably bypass a minimum amount of hardness in order to be effective against walls and such fortification. More importantly, it should probably bypass an amount of Hardness or Damage Reduction equal to the Hardness of its own projectile (namely, 10 for iron/steel, reduced to 6 when using a rock as a projectile). Anyway, just my two CPs. -HarrowedMind (talk) 02:26, 26 December 2013 (UTC)

Considering. On one hand, martial (which I want to keep) and pretty good, but on the other hand, clumsy, slow, one shot, and most importantly have the same limits as most guns (no add ones, promoting volley shots). Hmmm, let's see what I can do. -- Eiji-kun (talk) 06:28, 26 December 2013 (UTC)
Yeah, I spotted the martial as well. I'm curious on how this will turn up, as I tend to trust the Eiji. But, right now, your average damage against a stone wall is ten after hardness is applied, IIRC. Hardly the ass-kicker. Of course, you could limit DR reduction to Hardness OR increase damage against structures and/or apply that penalty against creatures that I don't really see anywhere yet... -HarrowedMind (talk) 07:46, 26 December 2013 (UTC)
