Design Note: Trickery Domain Updates

 Here are the main updates in this subclass since the Player's Handbook (5e):

• Domain Spells has an updated spell list.
• Blessing of the Trickster can target someone up to 30 feet away, and Clerics can use it on themselves.
• Invoke Duplicity no longer requires Concentration, and it requires a Bonus Action rather than an action. In addition, you teleport when you first use it, not just when you move the illusion later.
• Trickster’s Magic is a new feature that replaces Cloak of Shadows, which was poorly rated, and Domain Spells now includes Invisibility.
• Divine Strike has been replaced by Blessed Strikes in the base class.
• Improved Duplicity was poorly rated and now has entirely new functionality.

Domain Spells

3rd Feature
Summary: At 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 9th level you gain additional spells that you always have prepared. 

Blessing of the Trickster

3rd Feature
Summary: Use an action to grant Advantage on Stealth checks to yourself or another creature for an hour. 

Invoke Duplicity

3rd Feature
Summary: Use a Bonus Action and a use of Channel Divinity to teleport nearby, leaving an illusion of yourself in the space you left. The illusion lasts 1 minute. During this illusion:

• Cast Spells. You can cast spells as if you were in the illusion's space.
• Distract. Gain Advantage on attack rolls against creatures next to you or the illusion.
• Move. Use a Bonus Action to move the illusion and may switch places with it. 

Trickster's Magic

6th Feature
Summary: A limited number of times a day, cast an Illusion spell (that normally takes 1 action to cast) as a Bonus Action. 

Improved Duplicity

17th Feature
Summary: Invoke Duplicity becomes more powerful (teleport further, move it further) and when it ends regain a number of Hit Points.
