A Viewtiful Mind [Viewtiful, Psionic]
Prerequisites: VFX Drama Focus, ability to use VFX, VFX pool of 12 or more, power point pool of 30 or more, at least one psionic feat other than VFX Drama FocusBenefit: You may use VFX points in the place of power points to fuel psionic powers, feats, and other abilities with power point costs. Each VFX point counts as 2 power points for this purpose. The maximum number of VFX points you can spend on any one psionic power or ability is equal to half your manifester level (not your levels in Viewtiful classes). You cannot spend VFX points and actual power points from any source simultaneously to manifest a power or use an ability.
You may also use power points in the place of VFX points to use or maintain VFX abilities. 2 power points are considered to be the equivalent of 1 VFX point for this purpose. Therefore, as long as you have at least 2 power points, you never lose your Viewtiful class features. As always, you cannot spend power points from more than one source at the same time for the same purpose, nor can you spend a number of power points at one time that is greater than your manifester level (even if the VFX power has a variable VFX cost and would normally allow you to pay a number of VFX points greater than ½ your manifester level). You can't spend power points and VFX points simultaneously to use or maintain an ability. Thus, if none of your pools have enough VFX points or power points to use an ability on their own, you can't use that ability (unless the ability drains all of your VFX if you don't have enough, as in the case of VFX Slow's narrow dodge).
If using power points to pay for an ability that consumes all of your VFX (such as Viewtiful Forever), you pay a number of power points equal to your manifester level (or all of the power points in the pool, if it contains fewer than the maximum amount you are allowed to spend). Normal: VFX points and power points aren't interchangeable.Special: Since VFX points recharge over time and power points only recharge after 8 hours of complete rest, it's generally better to use VFX. However, a pool of power points is generally far larger than a pool of VFX.
Since a VFX cost to maintain a VFX power is only paid once per round, you may select which pool to use to pay the cost when the cost is paid. You can change which pool you use each time you pay the cost.
Even with this feat, VFX does not recharge while using a long-term VFX power such as VFX Slow.
