Maestro of Sepulchral Strings[edit]

He never says anything anymore, he never eats, he never sleeps. He just stays up in the attic and plays his damn violin.
—Lios Tell, mother of Timothy Tell, a maestro

The violin is an instrument that has always had a dark, provocative mystery to it; something that many bards seek to add to their music. Unfortunately, some such musicians have gotten just a tad bit extreme with it.

Enter the maestro of sepulchral strings.

To most, the concept of a violinist who has sold his soul to some higher power isn't really that far-fetched, however, maestroes take it a little far, removing the strings of their instruments and replacing them with strips of their own flesh that have been imbued with powerful shadow magic.

Becoming a Maestro of Sepulchral Strings[edit]

In order to become a maestro, you must have some existing musical talent, plus the ability to shape shadows to do your will. Nearly all maestros start as shadowcaster/bards, with a few exceptions.

Class Features[edit]

All of the following are class features of the <-class name->.

Spellcasting: At <-each level? each level after first? Xth and Yth levels?->, you gain new spells per day and an increase in caster level (and spells known, if applicable) as if you had also gained a level in a spellcasting class to which you belonged before adding the prestige class level. You do not, however, gain any other benefit a character of that class would have gained. If you had more than one <-divine? arcane? prepared? spontaneous?-> spellcasting class before becoming a <-class name->, you must decide to which class to add each level for the purpose of determining spells per day, caster level, and spells known.

Bardic Music: A maestro's class levels stack with his levels in bard for determining his uses per day of his bardic music ability.
