Warding Shell
Abjuration

Target or Area: 20-ft.-radius emanation centered on a creature, object, or point in space
Duration: 1 minute/level (D)
Saving Throw: Will negates; see text or none (object)
Spell Resistance: Yes; see text or no (object)

A runic circle briefly appeared around you before vanishing. Suddenly the magical rays and other spells of enemy casters were deflected away, falling to pieces and protecting you.

This generates a sphere of protection around a creature, object, or point in space. The edges of the barrier block line of effect, which prevents most spells from passing through (even SR:No spells that would pass through an antimagic field would be stopped by the barrier as if it hit a solid wall). The barrier is transparent, and effects which do not need line of sight such as teleportation still function. In addition, spells can be employed inside the barrier, but are stopped by the barrier's edges regardless if it is passing in or passing out.

The spell can be cast on a point in space, but the effect is stationary unless cast on a mobile object. The spell can be centered on a creature, and the effect then radiates from the creature and moves as it moves. An unwilling creature can attempt a Will save to negate the spell and can use spell resistance, if any. Items in a creature’s possession receive the benefits of saves and spell resistance, but unattended objects and points in space do not.

Focus: A cold iron spike worth 100 gp, or a divine focus.
